- Of Woods and Words: Literary Readings of the Berkshire Landscape: Berkshire Athenaeum. Jan 17. 6:30-8:30. Professional storyteller Mary Jo Maichack of Lenox will present “Of Woods and Words: Literary Readings of the Berkshire Landscape”. Maichack will read from a variety of sources such as Melville, Sedgwick, Hawthorne and lesser known writers, both traditional and contemporary, reflecting on the experience of living in the natural landscape of the Berkshires.
